Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I chose Ultra Shine over all the Big Brands at local stores?

Ultra Shine was throughly tested by a major reviewer that chose Ultra Shine over all the leading polishes "hands down". Much better results, ease of use, quality customer care and as affordable per ounce if not better than any other polish per use out there in the stores.

Is this Metal Polish a liquid or paste?

Easy Cut & Final Shine are a liquid polish and very thin in texture unlike mothers which is a heavy paste.

Can I use this polish on clear coated aluminum?

No, Only on bare metals such as Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Chrome, Copper & Brass.

Why are these polishes thin like water?

Because they are very well lubricated for maximum slippage during application & it makes the product go farther on your aluminum, which means you only need a dime size amount on a rag to polish a car rim.

Do I need both Easy Cut & Final Shine?

We recommend both steps for maxinum performance. The easy cut is more abrasive to cut through oxidation & staining, & the final shine is less abrasive and brings the aluminum to a "CHROME LOOK". The final shine has durable resin sealants in the product to help protect the aluminum from oxidation & harsh elements.

Can I use Easy Cut & Final Shine on clear coated aluminum?

No, Only on bare metals such as Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Chrome, Copper & Brass

What should I use on my chrome?

Only use Final Shine on chrome since it is less abrasive unless you are trying to remove rust, then use Easy Cut first.

Can I use the polish in the sun?

Yes, It will wipe off just as easy even if it was baking in the sun.

How long do I have to wipe it off after it has dried?

There is no time limit, if you leave it on for 24hrs it will still wipe off just as easy as if you just applied it.

What is the best rag to use for application & removal?

Micro fiber towels work the best.

What is the shelf life of this product?

At least two years as long as it does not freeze.

Do I need to shake the bottle during use?

Yes, the bottle needs to be shaken before & during use to keep the product from separating. Failure to do so will produce inferior results.

How do I use this polish?

Apply a small amount to a rag, rub until it turns black, let it dry & wipe it off. That's it. So easy it is ridiculous!!!!

"Will Chem-Tech/Tetra Chem TCI 503 HD harm my mirror finish?"

Absolutely not.....TCI 503 HD is specially formulated not to harm any highly polished finish.

"Will TCI 503 HD make my acid washed trailer and wheels shine again?"

No....once the aluminum surface is acid etched the damage is done. TCI 503 HD will help remove the white haze but TCI 503 HD will not restore the shine to a badly bleached trailer.

"How do I use TCI 710 HD brushless soap?"

First pre-dilute TCI 710 HD brushless soap to a 10:1 ratio. That is 1 quart of concentrated soap to 2-1/2 gallons of water. Then  spray it on a      workable area...say the left side of the tractor or 1/2 of your dump bed. Let it work for 2 minutes and then high pressure wash it off. (2800 psi)      Don't let it dry on the surface! Make sure you rinse real good.

"How is TCI 503 HD applied?"

First cool the surface to be cleaned. Early mornings or evenings are best.   Apply TCI 503 HD, right from the container, using a  pump-up      pressure sprayer. Start from the bottom up and work in a manageable sized area. Brushing is optional. Allow TCI  503 HD to work about 2      minutes. Remove using a high pressure 2800 psi COLD water washer. Start from the bottom up.  Rinse completely. Watch for overspray and      don't let TCI 503 HD dry on the surface.

"I washed my truck with TCI 710 HD but it left a film on the surface. What happened?"

More than likely you didn't rinse the truck completely. Rinse until NO soap suds are observed.

"My aluminum wheels were just polished to a mirror shine. What should I use on them to keep them shiny?"

Use TCI 503 HD. This will preserve the shine and protect the aluminum.

If you just polished the wheels you'll notice the black "spots" where the polish is trapped in the little stone nicks. TCI 503 HD  will remove these      blemishes.

"Where are the TCI products produced?
They are manufactured in Canada from a company called Tetra Chem

"503HD will not shine up aluminum wheels/trailers if they have been acidized. But if they HAVE been acidized and then  polished, will the use     of your products KEEP them looking as polished as possible?

YES! TCI503HD will keep them looking polished. Many people, after using harsh chemicals and acid based products, have to  hand or machine     polish their surfaces just to undo the damage. They are now firm believers in TCI503HD!
